These guys are both dedicated students to the art of BJJ. Shaun and Rich are both model students and their hard work has certainly paid off. Shaun Cooper is a multi-talented dude as he is also the bassist for the band Straylight Run. Check out some pics from the promotions:
There have been some great promotions over the past couple of weeks at our East Meadow location. We our proud to announce that we have 3 new blue belts, 2 new purple belts, and a brown belt.
What a night for Team Serra-Longo! Our amateur fight team went 4 for 4, all by way of submission, at the ROC Cage Fighting event in New Jersey on Saturday! Huge congrats to Aaron Freedman, Franky "Bam Bam" Oyague, Ryan "Guillotine" Castillo, and Eddie Lenoci.
Training is going great and our students are progressing extremely well. We recently promoted 5 students to the rank of blue belt. Here they are in no particular order:
Adam Starr- Adam has been training with us a while and his wrestling compliments his newly developed BJJ skills very well.
Joe Donovan-Joe is a great asset to our academy and his skill is catching up to his size and strength.
Dave Schwartz- Dave recently took 1st place at the NAGA Battle At The Beach submitting 3 of his 4 opponents.We are looking forward to seeing him more on the competition circuit and his willingness to always help out around the academy is certainly appreciated.
Pete Bachas- Pete has been training with us for some time and has started holding his own in the advanced classes.
Bryan Lenoci- Bryan is the younger brother of Crazy Eddie and seems to be following in his foot steps. Just like his brother he is tough and technical.
