Serra Jiu-Jitsu currently offers instruction to boys and girls in two age groups: 8-11 and 12-14.

Ages 8 - 11
Our kids program is designed to offer developing minds and bodies a fun and safe environment in which they can learn self-confidence, self-respect and discipline, in addition to our kid-specific system of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, self-defense and striking.

Classes combine the basics of BJJ with age-appropriate tasks, exercises and activities such as obstacle courses and skill-oriented games and focus on the children’s accomplishments, both as individuals and as a team. Students will learn the value of sportsmanship, good behavior and etiquette, all while improving their coordination, strength and agility.

Ages 12 - 14
Our teens program delves deeper into the actual art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, focusing more on theory, technique and application. Students can expect to learn the fundamentals of the sport in an atmosphere that encourages self-confidence and personal growth.

Classes will focus on strength and conditioning exercises, drills, striking, stand-up, and self-defense, as well as integral BJJ positions and submissions.
