I'm finishing my basement in the next couple of months and I want to hang a heavy bag in a basement with (obviously) low ceilings. Does anyone have an opinion(s) on the following:

- Hanging a heavy bag from a ceiling joist? I understand that the vibration could possibly rattle the walls,ceiling and/or damage the house and make a lot of noise.

- Free standing bag stand. This is the best one I have found thus far:

Not sure about the type of bag. I do know that having a heavy duty spring will reduce the vibration significantly.
