Poll: How did you find out about Serra BJJ? 2 Months, 4 Weeks ago

I will start first:
I was watching Spike TV, and saw Ultimate Fighter:Comeback reruns. (I missed the first airing) Then I saw the other Ultimate Fighter series reruns (the welter weights), where Serra, Longo, and Sell appeared as coaches.
I am glad that Sensei Matt appeared on the show to let people know that Serra BJJ is a great place to train. If you have a great product, you should let people know about it.

Took karate in my past, bout 4 yrs ago I pop a DVD in of the 1st few UFC's and see this guy submitting people with ease. I didnt even know what a submission was really, but it looked so interesting. I then watched Graice jiu-jitsu in action (2) and was taken aback by the effectivness of jiu-jitsu. It was like a chess game with your body, using not just your strength to defeat someone, but your intelligence & understanding of leverage & body mechanics. I began searching for a place with the name "Gracie" in it, found a karate place were the instructor said he trained a little once with Renzo. I was very excited & joined right away. Soon I realized there was no jiu-jitsu going on at all, except for once a week for 15 min and with only 3 people. Noticed Serras one day driving, called them up and asked "Is this so called brazilian jiu-jitsu stuff anything like (Gracie) jiu-jitsu??". They were like "thats basically what it is". I shot right over there and have been comitted ever since. Still remember my first roll was with Yakov. (hope I spelled it right). He's a great guy. WHAT UP YAKOV IF UR READIN THIS!!

There's no such thing as a good gun. There's no such thing as a bad gun. A gun in the hands of a bad man is a very dangerous thing. A gun in the hands of a good person is no danger to anyone except the bad guys."
